I love being asked this question as it gives me an opportunity to clear up a common misconception about pre-arranging. Pre-arranging is not the same as pre-paid funeral plan. Whilst pre-paid funeral plans are an option, it is most certainly not a requirement and definitely not something you should feel pressured into.
Pre-arranging is something I do FREE OF CHARGE.
PRE-ARRANGING: THE BASICS
Pre-arranging or pre-planning is your opportunity to decide on how you would like your own funeral to be. We call it Your End Of Life Wishes.
The reason for having your requests and wishes laid out in advance is to spare your family from the added stress of guessing at what you might have wanted. Having a voice in how your life will be celebrated and relieving your loved ones of the burden is one of the last acts of kindness you can give.
To help and guide you through the type of funeral you would like, we have produced a simple questionnaire. We recommend filling the form in alongside a loved one, friend or executor so they are aware.
